April Meeting Minutes

The club met April 2nd and started off by covering the Potholes tournament. The top 3 anglers discussed how and where they caught their fish.

We then went to new business where Jeff Turk discussed our new sponsor Swate fishing. And potential new sponsors also.

The club then had a raffle for tackle and prizes.

Patrick Leong brought to the club the idea of allowing out of state family members a chance to fish tournaments with the club once per year. The members discussed and a motion was made by Darren Tabor, seconded by Jeff Turk to write a rule proposal to meet these types of situations. The rule would be written as follows and will be voted on at the next meeting.

Guest exemption rule: any member who has a relative or friend visiting that is not from Idaho or Washington state may fish 1 tournament per year with requesting member as long as the members at the meeting prior to the tournament vote in favor of specific exemption and as long as the number of member non-boaters is not equal to or greater than the number of member boaters.”

The club then conducted the draw for Newman lake with 16 boaters and 5 non-boaters.

Last order of business was to discuss the Long Lake classic and let the club know about how we are advertising for the event and how we will run the event now that we have a stage and are working to make this a premier event. The club voted to meet April 30th before the Long Lake classic event that weekend.

Next meeting April 30th Spokane Valley Marine.

Draw for CDA club event, and discuss the Classic and assign jobs to members.
