About Our Club

Founded in 2012 by Tyler Brinks, Spokane Bass Club was created with the intention of sharing knowledge of bass fishing and growing the sport without having to leave the local area to do so. Over the past 10 years we have grown and continue to be the Inland Northwest’s only Team Draw format club. We strive to provide friendly competition in a format that allows for the sharing of information and fosters growth among anglers.

Tournament Format

Our format is designed to get as many anglers on the water as possible, to share experience, knowledge and have a good time.

Draw Format –  We have boaters and non-boaters for each club tournament. For the standard draw format, boaters will draw a number which will determine the launch order. Non-boaters then draw numbers to pair them to a boat. Each person fishes as an individual and weighs their own limit of fish.

Team Draw Format – Typically each season, the club will do one team draw format tournament. Just like the standard draw format, boaters will draw a number which will determine the launch order, and non-boaters will draws numbers to pair them to a boat. However members on the same boat fish as a team instead of against each other. The 5 best fish from each boat/team will be weighed at the weigh-in.

FAQ’s

The only time you can pick the person you fish with is our Open tournaments. Please see our section on tournament format on the right.

Do I have to be a member to fish?

No, you are allowed to fish one club tournament as a quest if you’ve never fished with us before.

When are tournament sign ups?

All signups are held the first Wednesday of the month at the monthly meeting. Example: April tournament is the 23rd, Sign ups will be on the 5th of April.

Can I fish out of my own boat?

Yes, if you have a boat that is covered with minimum insurance per club policy, and has a live well large enough to keep two limits of fish alive for the duration of the tournament, with enough room for two anglers.

Angler of the Year

AOY is determined by the amount of points earned from each tournament fished.

Tournament committee shall record points as follows:
• First Place 40 points
• Second Place 39 points
• Third Place 38 points
• Down to 40th Place 1 point

Competitors that do not weigh in fish will receive equal points starting 10 points below last place competitor that weighed in fish. In case of ties, points and prize money will be divided equally. Angler of the year will be based on all tournaments held during the season. Angler of the Year points are calculated with one “dropped” tournament, which can be either a missed event or the lowest point total of the season for that angler. In case of a tie at a regular season tournament, the biggest bass weighed will settle tie. In the event that both total weight and biggest bass are the same, the prize money will be divided equally and each angler will receive the same amount of points. At the conclusion of the season if the Angler of the year points are tied, the tie will be settled by total weight during the season.
